YoYoFactory F.A.S.T. parts

These are the set of shuttle, dial, and cap that fits YoYoFactory F.A.S.T. 401k, 401SD, and Velocity.

Note that different yoyos use different parts!

Compatibility

Please note which yoyo you have. THE PARTS ARE NOT CROSS COMPATIBLE BETWEEN YOYOS!
  • If you have a 401K, then it can only use 401K parts.
  • If you have a 401SD or Velocity, then it can only use 401SD parts.
But for a given yoyo, the 3D printed parts are compatible with stock parts.

For example if you just want new shuttles for your 401K, then you can print the 401K shuttles and they will fit into 401K's stock dial.

Or if you just want a new dial for your Velocity, then you can print the 401SD dial and it will work with Velocity's stock shuttles.

Or you can also print an entirely new set of shuttle, dial, cap to replace everything.

Tips on printing

  • Most of them should be straight forward to print. Scale them in x, y dimensions for a perfect fitting.
  • The trickiest to print is the shuttle for 19mm pads. There isn't an orientation that is ideal for 3D printing. You can either print them with response pad side facing up or down, with pros and cons
    • Response pad side up: This gives a smooth surface for the pad to stick onto, but it requires support on the bottom side.
    • Response pad side down: This doesn't require support, but the pad surface needs to be bridged, so the surface may not be smooth enough for the pad to stick onto.
    • Personally: I print with with response pad facing up to ensure the pads stick well. There isn't that much support to remove (just need to be careful not to damage the prongs). And the bottom is hidden inside the yoyo half, so the ugly side is not visible.

F.A.S.T. is a YoYoFactory technology originally released in the mid-2000's. These 3D printable parts are developed independently, but made available for free with permission.
